Georgia’s natural land resources are becoming more polluted due to urbanization and industrialization. Industrial and agricultural activities often release contaminants on the land that degrade the living environment.
ECO-Action works with residents of vulnerable communities to help them organize grassroots group to prevent and reduce land pollution by:
1) promoting activities that will lead to zero waste;
2) enhancing community capacity to benefit from the restoration of brownfield sites through the provision of jobs and the creation of parks and other amenities that enhance community livability; and
3) educating and advocating for the use of the precautionary principle to prevent or reduce exposure to hazardous substances on the land as well as in the water and air.
We are committed to work with residents of vulnerable communities to prevent and reduce land pollution.
